With the spirit of how to make money online I have decided to provide something special in this article… Instead of talking about programs like project payday or Me2Everyone, I want to discuss something far more important. Search engine optimization is a term that is thrown around left and right but its interesting that nobody really tackles the heart of the matter or at least from what I’ve read breaks it down to the very simplest definition of SEO or how to get to the top of those Google search engines!

I’ve been guilty myself of beating around the bush in regards to backlinks and how to get to the top of Google and I want to make it up to all my loyal readers who have been wondering what I’ve been up to the past few days…

Man its really hard to run an internet marketing empire and the list of tasks is becoming more and more daunting as the days go by… Living the internet lifestyle has me working 16 hr days but enough about me…

What are Backlinks?

Anchor text links are things that point to various websites and tell Google that your site is important. Newsflash, they are only valuable on sites that offer Do-Follow (what that means is that the site has to remove the standard NoFollow link typical on Wordpress blogs…)

I have read a million articles about search engine optimization and professional internet marketers giving advice about how to get to the top of Google’s precious search engine ranking place index… What I have realized is that its not as much about what you write (although you do want to incorporate your target keywords into your article titles, headers, body and everywhere else you can think of…)

It is about who you know and more importantly, who is linking back to you using your targeted anchor text which in my case would be how to make money online.

I’ve written a million articles and until I started collecting valuable anchor text backlinks I really wasn’t able to generate much traffic. Now that the backlinks are coming in left and right my site is ballooning and putting me in a position where I can negotiate regarding link exchanges, advertising inquiries etc..

What is DoFollow?

DoFollow is basically internet code (the language of geeks), it is in reality the absence of dreaded NoFollow commands in a website or webpage’s html or php script… I’m sorry to bore you with techno babble, basically you are looking for as much DoFollow link luv as possible if you want to get to the top of Google and make money online!

Where can I find Do-Follow Sites?

That is a great question and also my gift to you if you have happened to make it this far and don’t have a splitting headache yet…

Keep in mind that these do follow resources are not to be abused and are offered as a supplement to other do follow resources you will find at your fingertips…

Try not to spam these generous do-follow blogs that have so willingly offered you the ability to increase your page rank and search engine rankings for your target keywords.

There are a million money making ideas, affiliate programs and advertising networks out there but only a few of them are actually worth considering.

How to Increase Google Page Rank | What is Link Juice?

Internet marketing can be a very effective way to make money online. The truth of the matter is that no matter how much marketing you do, if you don’t focus on SEO, you will be reliant on paid visitors from Google Adwords or another PPC advertiser as your primary source of traffic.

What could be better than paid traffic? I think we both know the answer to that one…

So what is a webmaster or blogger to do? Focus on your search engine optimization, increase your page rank and target your niche keywords!

At the end of the top if you don’t like spending hundreds and thousands of dollars annually on paid traffic and you’re not at the top of the SERP’s i.e. Search Engine Results Pages, you’re not going to be happy.

Let’s discuss backlinks for a moment…
What are the two types of backlinks you can obtain?

1.) Two Way Backlinks

This is a link that connects from your site to another site. They link back to your site creating a two way link relationship. These can generally be obtained in link exchanges and through networking contacts. A word of advice… These are hardly worth anything as they are not given much weight in terms of Google authority. They’ve got weak link juice, got it??

2.) One Way Backlinks

This is a link that simply links from one website to another. Google considers this type of link to be a lot more important because of the law of self interest. Obviously the site linking to you considers you an appropriate reference and decided to give you credit out of the kindness of their heart.

Not really, but you get the point… Not all one way links are created equal. Some of them can be actually bad for you depending on their page rank and authority position. There are sites called link farms that you should stay away from at all costs, Google’s system is extremely advance and can recognize foul play.

Generally if you do participate in this type of behavior, Google will just ignore the links but in a worst case scenario you may actually take a hit in your rankings because of it.

All of this linking is valuable only if you know how to leverage the links themselves.

This is where the term Anchor Text comes into play. You will see major improvements in your SEO if your backlinks are contained in your target keywords.

The best type of one way link will be one from a reputable website i.e. government or otherwise discussing a topic that is in direct relation to your niche. The link will be contained in a paragraph using your target keyword. That would have some major link juice!

Most people know about search engine optimization a.k.a. SEO. Search engine optimization is referred to as most important factor in getting a decent page rank for a particular keyword.

This article will help you optimize your web pages. It will discuss tips and tricks you can use to increase your page rank by implementing SEO strategies.

1.) Make sure to link each of your pages via html

This is a simple concept, each of your sites pages should be linked via html and related to another page in your site. Google uses spiders to crawl the web and when it finds a link, it indexes the page for future exploration. Images and Flash solutions offer alternative to html links however they are not recognized by the search engines.


2.) Maximize Your Site’s Content

Generally, the more content your site has the better. After becoming indexed in the major search engines, Google will generally crawl your site frequently, examining your sitemap and content and making updates to your search results. The content you provide will be directly related to your search results via keywords, long tail keywords etc...

I have seen an exponential increase in web traffic due to my site’s content. There are several keywords I am currently targeting via content and I have seen significant improvements recently in my keyword search traffic because of the content that is on this site.

3.) Use Keywords and Long Tail Keywords

Most people don’t realize how important keywords actually are. If you want more web traffic target keywords in your article and place them in both your title text as well as the body of your articles. Make sure to litter the keywords at least three times in each article you write to maximize your effectiveness.

SEO – 4 Ways to Increase Your Page Rank

In previous articles we have spent significant time discussing page rank and SEO. In regard to page rank there are several things that affect your ranking. It’s possible to make improvements both internally and externally. I have found that the most important factor that affects page rank is backlinks.

4. Submit your articles to free online publishers. I have discussed this in previous articles as well. There are several sites you can use to submit articles and drop your backlinks. Two of my favorite sites for this purpose include ISnare.com and GoArticles.com.

Lastly, if you use all these methods to increase your SEO and page rank, you will see results very quickly. Sometimes it may take longer than expected due to something called the Google Sandbox. I will explain the sandbox and describe its purpose in future articles so stay tuned!

Page Rank - 10 Links for Search Engine Optimization

In previous articles, I have discussed the importance of page rank and SEO i.e. Search Engine Optimization.

Obviously, SEO is very important to your page rank, the better your site is organized and indexed, the better the chances of you getting a high page rank. If you can't find yourself in the search engines, you don't have much of a chance to get a high ranking do you?
