Blog Basics for Beginners Update

At this point Blog Basics for Beginners has been up and running for almost two months, I want to give a quick update regarding the progress of this blog…

After doing some additional research and thinking about my initial strategy for this site, I have to admit if I were to start all over again I probably would have picked slightly different keywords for the URL… The following are a few good keywords I have found if you intend to create a new make money online blog…

1.) Ways to Make Money Online
2.) Ways for Teens to Make Money
3.) Earn Money Online

I have to say that I am still happy with my URL decision because I can use this blog to throw out ideas that don’t necessarily have to be about money. When you come to this site, it’s like walking into a classroom with a goofy teacher… Many of the visiting students are probably smarter and more knowledgeable than the teacher but I am holding the chalk so you have to listen to me!

Some of the things I would like to discuss in future articles include:

1.) How to set up a Wordpress blog
2.) How to install Google Adsense into your blog
3.) Best strategies for Getting your blog indexed quickly
4.) Wordpress vs Blogger
5.) Why it is better to self host your blog…

Lately I have been spending a lot more time trying to find sources to obtain quality anchor text links. I have been going to message boards like warriorforum in an effort to find strategic linking partners and also hitting up quite a few do-follow blogs…

Recently I have created a master list of do-follow blogs in the make money online niche… The following is my offer for people that are interested :

$5 - MASTER Do-Follow BLOG List – Contains 250 Page Links

1.) Every one of these links is for a blog in a money related niche.
2.) All of these blogs have been recently checked by me for accuracy
3.) Many of the users allow you to place your anchor text instead of your name
4.) Most of the websites are PR0 or greater.

Leave a comment with your email address if you are interested and I will send you a payment request, after receiving payment I will send out the blog list to you immediately.

I have had several people purchase the list so far and everyone has been extremely happy with the value…

Well, now that I am done with the sales pitch portion of this article, it seems only fair to provide a few “freebies” for my great subscribers.

The following are websites where you can get a free do-follow link :

1. http://forge.mysql.com Page Rank 7
2. http://slideshare.net Page Rank 7
3. http://www.lulu.com Page Rank 7

Anyways, this article is a bit of a wash so I promise that I will try harder next time! I just hate letting things go stale so it seemed appropriate to provide a blog basics for beginners update…

How to Make Fast Money

If you want to know how to make fast money I would suggest you go get a ski mask and a firearm, then it’s up to you to figure out who or what you would like to rob at gunpoint lol…

Seriously, if you want to know how to make money online chances are that it’s not going to be fast however you can definitely create an income stream that is consistent and growing at a constant or exponential rate.

In my last article I mentioned that I was busy working on a few new ventures that really needed my attention for a while. I was pleased to see that my newest site has just been upgraded from a ranking of N/A to a PR0 which is extremely promising considering that it has only been up and running for about 3 weeks. In addition, it is starting to receive long tail keyword traffic because of its URL name and the first few articles that I decided to post.

Another thing that I find extremely interested is the rate at which it’s link popularity is growing… I have websites that have been up and running for several months that have a lower link popularity and at this point and the rate of growth is really astonishing. In previous articles I have discussed some of the factors that are considered in regard to Google’s algorithms in regard to search engine ranking place, I wanted to just take a minute to touch on those really quick :

1.) Quantity of relevant anchor text links
2.) Quality of relevant anchor text links (sitewide vs embedded in an article)
3.) Age of relevant anchor text links (the second you build a site start building links on day one because the sooner you do that, the sooner you will see results)

With previous sites, I build content first and then began my journey to scour the web leaving anchor text backlinks in as many places as possible. After reviewing that strategy it was completely backwards… I should have been creating anchor text links to the website and then creating more content to back the site up.

Time is something that you cannot manipulate and if the age of your links really places an important factor in where you are ranking, then I definitely suggest that you start building now.

There are several internet marketing “gurus” that will say that on site SEO, things like titles, meta tags, headers and keywords embedded in content play the biggest role in getting to the top and in regard to that advice I would tell them to put a sock in it.. The fact of the matter is that very few of those “gurus” are actually trying to help you make money, all they are really trying to do is get you do respect them as an authority so that they can sell you a bunch of crap that you really don’t need… There are exceptions to the rule i.e. people like Grizzly, Vic, Caroline and even Darren comes with some useful information now and then but keep in mind there are thousands of “experts” out there and to think that I was only able to name a handful is definitely a scary thing to consider.

How to Make Fast Money Building Quality Links

The point of this article is that the faster you build quality backlinks the sooner you’ll be on your way to success. Don’t try to build them to fast or you might get slapped by Google and keep in mind that obtaining one PR4 link may be better than 50 low quality links so it’s not about quantity although quantity when relevant will not hurt you…

I’ve managed to obtain a few PR4’s and PR3’s in the last month or so with this blog and they have helped quite a bit to secure a decent amount of traffic however if you look at the URL name i.e. Blog Basics for Beginners, you can probably tell that this thing is not optimized to make some serious cash in the MMO arena with the exception being that it wont be too hard to grab the attention of the “blogging” community…

The blogging community rarely purchases anything or clicks on Adsense links but it can still be an opportunity to create joint venture opportunities and gain respect in the field so I’ll take what I can get…

The bottom line is that Blogger is a great place to throw up sites that are made to sell things and get advertising revenue… If you want to really invest a lot of time and energy in a site, it is still my recommendation that you purchase your own domain. Think about it, if you’re in a bind and you need to make some quick cash, selling a blogger domain won’t fetch you nearly the amount of dough you could get by selling a fully optimized website that included its own domain name.

I think this site will eventually get some decent advertising revenue and I’m working on it for the sole purpose of pissing a few “A” listers off… They don’t know about this site yet but they will when they see that it’s above their own when they search for their target keywords… Sometimes I can be a spiteful bastard and it’s healthy to have some good competition from time to time.

If you want to know how to make fast money go buy one of those products from a slick sales page… Then come back for a shoulder to cry on…

Make Money Online Monthly Update

It seems about time to do a monthly update regarding this blog. Even though it is only a month old now, it is doing well with a PR0 ranking. What this means is that Google has thought it worthy enough to rank immediately without throwing it in the Sandbox. I attribute this success due to the fact that I submitted ten to fifteen original articles to GoArticles with backlinks for the site. Because GoArticles offers a PR3 text anchor link, this can be extremely valuable, especially when you are trying to get your site indexed.

Just because it is ranked doesn't mean that Google decided to pull it out of the sandbox. I am fairly sure this blog is halfway in still because of the high amount of content and low search traffic coming in. Of coarse, I have to be honest that building high quality anchor text backlinks for this blog has not been my first priority. I'm currently managing several websites and until I can get some help doing some of my off-site SEO work, I'll continue to spread myself thin for a while.

Keep in mind that if you want to be successful in receiving traffic to your website, you should be spending about 20% of your time writing new articles, link bait posts and quality content and the other 80% of your time should be spent networking and trying to work out link exchanges, submitting articles to directories to score backlinks, posting comments on do-follow blogs and submitting your articles to the social bookmarking sites (I like to stick to the ones that offer do-follow bookmarks however Digg and StumbleUpon I usually make an exception for because it's possible to blow up from social traffic with those two websites).

It is funny how people react to a new blog, especially one that focuses on a niche that they are currently competing in. Everyone has their own opinion regarding how to do this niche right. I was criticized a few weeks ago by a lady that obviously was involved in the niche somehow, the bottom line is that if she is reading this right now, all I would say is that constructive criticism is appreciated and if you don't like this blog then you don't have to visit or comment for that matter lol...

Jan. Statistics - Blog Basics for Beginners :

This blog received a total of 249 Unique visitors last month. I can't remember if statcounter had a full month of tracking or not, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that 249 visitors would be a nice number to receive in an hour but definitely not in a month!

The reason this blog didn't receive that many visitors last month was due to several factors :

1.) Google Sandbox
2.) Poor job creating quality anchor text backlinks

Thats alright because I plan on putting in some major off site SEO work this month.

The following is the information that Alexa is currently providing from the site :

Yesterday 1 wk. Avg. 3 mos.
N/A* 0.00013% 0.00004%

As you can see there has been a slight improvement as the weekly average is roughly triple what the 3 month average is currently stating. Still, nothing from nothing doesn't leave much anyways.. Keep in mind, this is a competitive niche!

It's best to not try and make the make money online niche your major breadwinner or at least have a few different niches running at the same time.

It will be alot easier to see immediate results if you focus on a buyers niche rather than a "browser's" niche. You need to find laser targeted keywords and go after them, thats when you will start seeing Adsense revenue and affiliate sales.

It's my opinion that Blog Basics for Beginners has some very helpful content at this point. Because this blog has so much content and not enough backlinks, I will probably be taking a break from creating new articles or definitely slow down from the pace I was writing at before.

This will give me more time to launch several new niche websites I'm currently working on. However, if you are a subscriber I'd hope that you don't mind sticking around because I have quite article subjects that I will be exploring in the upcoming weeks.

If you like this blog and the content that's provided, please go ahead and drop me a comment, it might give me a little more incentive to speed up my progress with the articles that are being provided.

The Google Phenomenon

It was about ten years ago when the internet was really starting to take off, new companies were springing up left and right creating new technologies that our great grandfathers would have never believed possible…

This little company came along and its name was Google, at that time Netscape was the big dog on the block and I think Alta Vista may have been around too but that part is slightly hazy… Microsoft’s operating system was functional but not graphically pleasant and people were just starting to really get the hang of the internet.

Nowadays unless you know a few google tips and tricks you are going to have a very hard time getting to the top of the search engine rankings. Does anyone ever stop and ponder what an odd relationship an internet marketer has with the company. They create content and if Google deems them fit they become indexed and steadily climb the search engine ranking system until someday if they are really lucky, they will make it to the first page for their keyword term.

Then they were flooded with traffic because they applied they’re google tips and tricks expertly… They had something called Google Adsense all over their pages and some of the people that showed up looking for info decided to click on the ads that were right in front of their face. The internet marketer was very happy that their visitors were clicking on the ads because each click resulted in income.

The company that sent the traffic to generate the income is also responsible for cutting the checks when the internet marketer effectively leveraged his 5 google tips and got the clicks rolling in… Get this, there was a chicken and an egg but which one came first? Oh ok, didn’t like that? Thought it was corny? Well a tree fell in the forest… Get my drift?

What Are Blog

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on this blog and I apologize but I’ve been very busy trying to make money online… What are blog is a keyword term that I found using the Google Keyword tool, I know it seems weird but it actually receives about 1000 search requests per month using the Google search engine.

One of the reasons that I’d like to target this particular search term is because after doing a little more research, I’ve found that the term only has about 6 million pages currently competing which in actually isn’t that bad compared to a term like how to make money online that has over 300 million pages of competition.

Another reason why I’d like to dominate the search term is because it has the root word blog in it, something that I would like to rank well for in the future due to the 30 million people looking for the word on Google every month!

If you notice that the name of this site is called Blog Basics for Beginners, it does have the word Blog in it among many others which makes it a little easier to optimize for the root.

Why do so many people search for the term “what are blog?”

Hey, that is a great question and I happen to have the answer to it at this point. I think we can all agree the long tail keyword term could easily be considered broken English but you would be surprised how many people look for things with misspelled words. If you are trying to dominate the results for something try to dominate the results for it’s misspellings as well.

We have talked about the need to incorporate those targets into your titles, headers, internal links and article content. In addition you should spend quite a bit of time hitting up article directories, forums, do follow blogs and wherever else you can drop a link to get some good link juice.

Why does link building take so much time?

It’s only natural that you will end up spending a huge quantity of time on this task until you build up link partners that you can make frequent 3 way link exchanges with. Eventually your page rank may grow enough so that people will contact you from time to time with offers for exchanges.

In the meantime, try to make friends with fellow bloggers, leave thoughtful comments on their articles and be subtle and frequent in your approach to build a friendship with them. Most people that are extremely successful with internet marketing have several joint venture partners so keep in mind that there is power in numbers.

Personally I have gained a huge quantity of link partners in the past year and one of the most difficult things about internet marketing is the niche partners you may use to increase the popularity of your how to make money online blog will probably not work if your blog is about nike shoes or credit card companies.

There is always a way to find these type of niche partners… One recommendation is that you can look for them in the forums on digitalpoint, sitepoint or warriorforum. Give it a shot and see if you can start to build friends on those sites. The more you reach out to people, the more success you will have.

The bottom line is that I wanted to make an article that found a way to incorporate the what are blog term. If you wanted to use the term what are blog in your article, how would you do it?
