Money Making Ideas - Text Link Ads Review
There are a million money making ideas, affiliate programs and advertising networks out there but only a few of them are actually worth considering.
One of the best sources of income for webmasters and bloggers is a company called Text-Link-Ads.
One of the best things about the program is it has equal value to the advertisers as it does to the publishers.
Most people are familiar with advertising PPC programs like Google Adwords, Adbrite, etc…
How Does Text-Link-Ads Work?
All you need to do to get started is go to their website and sign up as an advertiser or publisher. It will take a few days for them to verify your account and make sure you are applicable to participate in their publisher program. They will check your site for page ranking, traffic and other useful information in making their decision.
If you are accepted you can set up your account and decide if you would like to offer site-wide links or contextual links.
Their program is easy to integrate into your assuming you are currently using Blogger or WordPress.
After a link is sold on your website, you receive an email informing you that someone has made a purchase. You then have the option to have the revenue deposited into your Paypal account.
The great thing about the program is that they have a very reasonable payout system in which they split all revenue down the middle 50/50 with you. Hows that for money making ideas?
If you are interested in signing up for the program and want to know how much a link on your site would be worth, try their Link Worth Calculator.
I am both an advertiser and a publisher on their site and I have been very happy with the results on both ends. I highly recommend Text-Link-Ads.

How to Increase Google Page Rank | What is Link Juice?
Internet marketing can be a very effective way to make money online. The truth of the matter is that no matter how much marketing you do, if you don’t focus on SEO, you will be reliant on paid visitors from Google Adwords or another PPC advertiser as your primary source of traffic.
What could be better than paid traffic? I think we both know the answer to that one…
So what is a webmaster or blogger to do? Focus on your search engine optimization, increase your page rank and target your niche keywords!
At the end of the top if you don’t like spending hundreds and thousands of dollars annually on paid traffic and you’re not at the top of the SERP’s i.e. Search Engine Results Pages, you’re not going to be happy.
Internet marketing revolves around the numbers, variables that you want to consider include:
1.) Unique Visitors
2.) Organic Traffic
3.) Paid Traffic
4.) Conversion Rate
If you have a great conversion rate, maybe you don’t feel like natural traffic is worth the effort. Let’s say you spend $20 on a Google Adwords campaign and you make $25 in affiliate commissions from the resulting traffic… Obviously it’s turning a profit so you may as well keep doing it right?
Imagine if you added natural traffic into the mix as well, then you may be spending the same amount of money and making twice as much in commissions.
There are limitations to PPC campaigns; you need to bid on a particular keyword. It’s much better to diversify and obtain traffic from multiple sources, that way if one of your channels fizzles out you won’t have to fizzle out with it.
The two areas you will want to focus on are on-page search engine optimization and target keyword backlinks.
If you’re page is optimized better than your competitor’s for a targeted keyword and you have a higher quantity of authority niche related backlinks you will be able to beat them out on the SERP’s, it’s that easy…
Oh, yah, I just remembered it’s not that easy... That’s why you’re still here right?
Link Juice is a term used to refer to the quality and strength of a given link. If the link has more pull, then it has more link juice…
Let’s discuss backlinks for a moment…
What are the two types of backlinks you can obtain?
1.) Two Way Backlinks
This is a link that connects from your site to another site. They link back to your site creating a two way link relationship. These can generally be obtained in link exchanges and through networking contacts. A word of advice… These are hardly worth anything as they are not given much weight in terms of Google authority. They’ve got weak link juice, got it??
2.) One Way Backlinks
This is a link that simply links from one website to another. Google considers this type of link to be a lot more important because of the law of self interest. Obviously the site linking to you considers you an appropriate reference and decided to give you credit out of the kindness of their heart.
Not really, but you get the point… Not all one way links are created equal. Some of them can be actually bad for you depending on their page rank and authority position. There are sites called link farms that you should stay away from at all costs, Google’s system is extremely advance and can recognize foul play.
Generally if you do participate in this type of behavior, Google will just ignore the links but in a worst case scenario you may actually take a hit in your rankings because of it.
All of this linking is valuable only if you know how to leverage the links themselves.
This is where the term Anchor Text comes into play. You will see major improvements in your SEO if your backlinks are contained in your target keywords.
The best type of one way link will be one from a reputable website i.e. government or otherwise discussing a topic that is in direct relation to your niche. The link will be contained in a paragraph using your target keyword. That would have some major link juice!
I hope you enjoyed this article about earning money online by harnessing the awesome power of link juice. More on search engine optimization strategies to come!

Earn Money Online Blogging
Earn Money Online
Lately my blog posts have been centered around how to earn money online. More specifically how to generate advertising revenue from free natural traffic generated by the top search engines i.e. Google, Yahoo and MSN.
One of the primary areas of focus in this persuit is search engine optimization.
Keep in mind, these strategies will help you in the long term but they probably won't teach you how to make money fast.
To just break down a few of the key factors in SEO, the two things you want to focus on in regard to SEO include :
1.) On Page SEO
2.) Off Page SEO
I will discuss these topics in future articles and try to provide enough insight so that you can increase your understanding of the topic and effectively leverage your knowledge of search engine optimization and finally answer the question of how you can use your blog more effectively to earn money online.

SEO – Tips and Tricks to Get One Way Links!
There are generally two types of links:
1 Way Links
2 Way Links (These are sometimes referred to as Reciprocal Links)
Most people seem to think that they will have to pay for high quality one way links.
Why would I want to pay for a one way link?
Well, if the link is made using one of your targeted keywords and it is on a site that Google deems worthy of a high page rank index, you will have instant credibility! The more credibility you establish, the higher your page rank will be.
How can I get free one way links?
Now that is a great question! There are tons of places where you can get high quality one way links. One of the most common places that people obtain free one way links are in website and blog directories.
Directory submissions can be incredibly time consuming. But there are a few tricks you can implement to speed up the process. Keep in mind, the more one way links you have, the more resulting traffic you will receive and if your goal is to make money, this is what you need!
Tip # 1
Submit your blog to a directory ex. Open Directory Project, Search Sight etc…
Copy the entire submission i.e. website title, keywords, description into a notepad or document file.
Now you have a directory submission template that will work for future submissions saving you a ton of time!
Why re-invent the wheel right?
Tip #2
Focus your submissions on the following free directories first. These are directories that are highly regarded by Google!
The Top 5 Free Directories:
Open Directory Project
World Site Index
Domaining.in
Web World
Search Sight
Tip #3
Find blog directories and submit your site to them in your niche categories. This will get you a lot more attention than a general directory would.
Conclusion:
There are two ways to submit to directories –
1.) Manual Submission
2.) Automated Submission
I would seriously recommend that you consider taking the second route. This will free your time up to work on your greatest asset… Remember how to make money with blogs?
I’ll give you a hint… QUALITY CONTENT! And lots of it buddy…
There are a few ways you can go about automated submission… One of the most popular routes is to use a program called SEO Elite. This will get the job done but you may lose some points with Google due to the rapid pace at which it will submit your blog to directories…
My personal preference is a service called Directory Maximizer
I’ve used this service in the past with this blog as well as my other blogs and I’m always very happy with the results. One of the best benefits of Directory Maximizer vs the directory submission programs is that you have control over the speed of the submissions, hence Google will give you more credit.
I hope this article has given you a better perspective on one-way links. They are much better than the alternative... You could write content all day and if nobody knows about your site then nobody will read it right?

SEO – 3 Tips for Search Engine Optimization
Most people know about search engine optimization a.k.a. SEO. Search engine optimization is referred to as most important factor in getting a decent page rank for a particular keyword.
This article will help you optimize your web pages. It will discuss tips and tricks you can use to increase your page rank by implementing SEO strategies.
1.) Make sure to link each of your pages via html
This is a simple concept, each of your sites pages should be linked via html and related to another page in your site. Google uses spiders to crawl the web and when it finds a link, it indexes the page for future exploration. Images and Flash solutions offer alternative to html links however they are not recognized by the search engines.
2.) Maximize Your Site’s Content
Generally, the more content your site has the better. After becoming indexed in the major search engines, Google will generally crawl your site frequently, examining your sitemap and content and making updates to your search results. The content you provide will be directly related to your search results via keywords, long tail keywords etc...
I have seen an exponential increase in web traffic due to my site’s content. There are several keywords I am currently targeting via content and I have seen significant improvements recently in my keyword search traffic because of the content that is on this site.
3.) Use Keywords and Long Tail Keywords
Most people don’t realize how important keywords actually are. If you want more web traffic target keywords in your article and place them in both your title text as well as the body of your articles. Make sure to litter the keywords at least three times in each article you write to maximize your effectiveness.
Conclusion :
If you would like additional tips and tricks about optimizing you web site, I suggest that you go ahead and sign up for my RSS feed. I will be publishing a series on this topic so stay tuned!

IBP & ARELIS - SEO and Page Rank Made Easy!
Alot of people have asked me to elaborate my previous series on How to Make Money Online Blogging.
All of the information I presented in the series is fundamentally correct. However I did try to focus on things you can do to maximize page rank without spending any money.
There are two things to focus on in regard to exposure, first and foremost quality and original content, the second is quite obvious, quantity. Many pages, many sites, many blogs, more destinations for your traffic to flow.
To make a long story short, there is a program I use to speed the process of page rank up a bit.. This program offers automatic search engine submissions, keyword and competitor analysis and it will even find you the best pages/sites to set up link exchanges or drop comments to gain relevant backlinks.
This program allows me to spend more time creating original content and less time slaving away on the backlink quest.
The program is called IBP & ARELIS
This program is used by the majority of professional internet marketing and publicity companies for one simple reason. It works!
I've provided their web banner so you can go check out their program for yourself, if it doesn't work for you, they offer a money back guarentee! Here it is:

Now, you see this article for what it truly is, a sales pitch. But I want to let you know that I wouldn't be promoting this thing if I didn't believe in it. I have seen results from it and you can too.
Drop me a line if you have any questions about the program, also, if you want me to I will send you an example report about one of my sites that the program created so you can see first hand how useful the analysis really is!

SEO – 4 Ways to Increase Your Page Rank
In previous articles we have spent significant time discussing page rank and SEO. In regard to page rank there are several things that affect your ranking. It’s possible to make improvements both internally and externally. I have found that the most important factor that affects page rank is backlinks.
The following list includes four methods you can use to obtain backlinks.
1. Reach out and try to negotiate or ask other webmasters in related fields to link to your website. This will be a difficult task but in many cases if approached the right way, site owners are sometimes willing to assist their fellow bloggers in this way.
2. Make sure to submit your site to indexes and directories. It’s very important to register with as many search directories as possible. Search engine directories provide high quality one-way backlinks that are sure to improve your page rank.
3. Register and participate in forums related to your topic of discussion. In most cases you will be able to add your backlink either in your signature or in the body of your post.
As an added bonus you will gain targeted traffic through the forums you participate in.
Keep in mind that these are people that are genuinely interested in your topic. They may become regulars and subscribe to your RSS feeds.
4. Submit your articles to free online publishers. I have discussed this in previous articles as well. There are several sites you can use to submit articles and drop your backlinks. Two of my favorite sites for this purpose include ISnare.com and GoArticles.com.
Lastly, if you use all these methods to increase your SEO and page rank, you will see results very quickly. Sometimes it may take longer than expected due to something called the Google Sandbox. I will explain the sandbox and describe its purpose in future articles so stay tuned!

Page Rank - 10 Links for Search Engine Optimization
In previous articles, I have discussed the importance of page rank and SEO i.e. Search Engine Optimization.
Obviously, SEO is very important to your page rank, the better your site is organized and indexed, the better the chances of you getting a high page rank. If you can't find yourself in the search engines, you don't have much of a chance to get a high ranking do you?
Keep in mind, you will only want to submit your site once to each search engine, if you submit more than once, there is a high probability it will penalize your SEO and page rank.
After your site becomes indexed, spiders will crawl it regularly looking for new content and updates. Try to keep your site fresh, add a few things every week if possible.
The following section will provide links to various search engines for submission.
I've provided two ways to submit your site to the search engines.
My new favorite option is DreamSubmit. They have a way to automatically submit your website to several search engines all at the same time. Their free choice is an excellent to get a ton of submissions in a manner of minutes! Please review the auto-submit options and use at your own discression :
Auto Submission :
DreamSubmit
AddMe.com
FreeWebSubmission
Submit Express
Manual Submission :
Submit URL to Google
Submit URL to MSN Search
Submit URL to Yahoo Search
Submit URL to ExactSeek
Submit URL to Acoona
Submit URL to Scrub The Web
Several sites require you to manually submit, one of the most notable that requires manual submission is Yahoo Search. Make sure to manually submit to Yahoo Search because it is one of the top three indexes you will want to register with for optimum SEO and page rank.
Please let me know if you found this article helpful. If I forgot anything, please drop a comment and I will add it to the list.

Make Money Online – How Do I Obtain More Web Traffic?
Most people create their blog or website, start developing content and then sit back and ponder how to get more traffic and attention. The point is, you need web traffic, and we both know it.
The question is how? The following is a discussion about how to increase your web traffic, I will touch on both paid ways to improve traffic as well as ways that are completely free (suffice to say they will take a little time and effort).
Paid Options:
Option 1
If you have a great product or service that you’re promoting and a marketing budget to go with, you could consider running a paid internet marketing campaign. There’s no limit to how many visitors you can get to your site through a Google Adwords campaign, whether you need 1000 or 100000.
You can buy your traffic but it’s going to cost you a bundle. Unfortunately, the visitors that you purchase will stop coming as soon as you stop spending unless you have a very unique and profitable proposition for your traffic.
Option 2
I’ve discussed page rank several times on Blog Basics for Beginners. It all revolves around backlinks and search engine optimization. If you really want to get to the top quickly you could hire an expensive firm to conduct an SEO campaign for you. This unfortunately is incredibly expensive and may not reach your desired objectives.
Conclusion
Both of the paid options will cost you money and may not be as effective as you would like. Don’t be discouraged, I have a recommendation that will save you a lot of time and money. If I could offer you a way to get you website traffic, generate tons of backlinks and gain a search engine ranking above your competitors for free, would you be interested?
At this point you’re thinking, oh great, another shameless sales pitch. Hey hear me out, I’ve been using this trick for several of my blogs and it hasn’t cost me much, in fact its made me a ton in Adsense revenues and affiliate commissions.
One of the most important factors to page rank are relevant backlinks, the links need to be on sites that have a strong page rank and relevant content. The primary place to obtain these links are in Article Directories.
So, you will need to write a relevant article about a topic that relates to your blog or website. Secondly, you will need to submit this article to the Article Directories to be published.
After the articles are made public your site will be credited gaining you a very effective backlink which will eventually be found by Google and increase your page rank.
In addition, other sites will find your article and decide to use it on their own sites, getting you more valuable backlinks. This process has a snowball effect that will help your SEO exponentially.
The more published articles you have, the better your chances and tapping into free natural traffic from Google, MSN and Yahoo.
The most common excuse I hear when explaining this process to fellow bloggers and webmasters is the fact that submission takes time, a lot of time that they don’t want to spend.
They want to use their time to create quality content for their sites. Here is my solution, there is a site online that will do all the legwork for you, and they will submit and distribute your article to hundreds of directories. Their company is called Article Marketer. I’ve use them all the time and I can tell you this, they are worth the money!
All I’d ask is that you give them a shot for one month. If you don’t see significant improvements in your SEO, then maybe it’s not for you... Assuming that you have some amazing articles ready for publication when you sign up, I seriously doubt you will want to stop using their service. The advertising money is there all you need is the traffic!
The question is how? The following is a discussion about how to increase your web traffic, I will touch on both paid ways to improve traffic as well as ways that are completely free (suffice to say they will take a little time and effort).
Paid Options:
Option 1

Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online With Blogs – Step 5
Great, you’re back for more huh? Ok, let’s recap the last episode before moving forward… The most important considerations in regard to page rank are:
1.) Article Content
2.) Article Length
3.) Keywords
4.) Volume
5.) Backlinks
6.) Age of Content
Alright, now on to the good stuff… I assume by now you have created a blog and tried your best to optimize it for search. Hopefully you have also created a few “anchor articles” i.e. long articles with in-depth analysis of your subject.
If it’s our goal to generate natural Google search traffic we will need to find a way to make our site more important than sites that are above us in the search results.
Google looks at each “backlink” and shares merit and strength between your page the one you linked to. So it is logical to assume that we need to place links on sites that have a higher page rank and have subject matter that is relevant to ours.
The following is a list of places you may want to try to place content/backlinks:
1.) Forums and Guestbooks – These sites won’t get you too much of a boost but they definitely will not hurt. Make sure the forum or guestbook is on a site with higher page rank in one of your target keywords and also try your best not to leave a spam comment. Look at the topic of the forum and contribute something relevant. This way you will not only have an opportunity to leave a backlink but you may also make some friends and generate some subscribers in the process.
2.) Blogs and Related websites – Try your best to find blogs with the same keywords as your own, read their content and provide insightful feedback on the comments section of your favorite articles. You will find that most bloggers are very open and willing to help you in your quest if you approach them the right way. Encourage them to visit your site and request feedback and suggestions for improvement. Not only will you be gaining excellent backlinks but you will also be creating allies that may very well help to catapult you to success in the future.
3.) Social Networks – Sites like BuzzFeed, Delicious, Technorati, Digg, Zimbio are great places to claim your blogs, attach your sites and create profiles. These sites have huge amounts of traffic, and even better, its traffic that is actually looking for the content that you provide. Getting a good reputation with these sites will not only increase your traffic but will also most likely assist your page rank in some way or another.
4.) Publication Websites – There are several sites that let you publish articles free of charge. The articles are then featured in their community and sometimes they are syndicated outside the community to interested parties. If someone publishes your work verbatim, google will find out when its bot crawls the page and guess what… your page rank will go up! This is why I previously emphasized original content so much, if it’s not original, it’s not going to help. Anyways, the key to gaining page rank from these publication websites is original content.
Recommendation : Re-write your favorite articles and submit them to GoArticles.com. This way you will have your original content and you will have a re-write posted with their site. Google will check out their page, identify the article as original content and give your backlink credit! There you go, that’s an instant boost in credibility!

Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online With Blogs – Step 4
I know this stuff can be a bit overwhelming at first, its hard work getting to the top of Google, MSN and Yahoo but if you do a few things every day in your favor, you will see your readership grow exponentially. Some people may say that they don’t care about things like page rank, but think about it; if you want more people to pay attention to your blog, you’re going to have to find a way to let them know you’re out here.
Making money online is just an added bonus… So that being said, let’s talk about factors that Google and other search engines find useful in determining what order your blog/site should be placed...
The following variables are extremely important in determining your page rank:
1.) Article Content
Focus on creating high quality content for your blog or website; this content should be unique and helpful to your target audience. Content that is not unique i.e. copied from another source verbatim will get you nowhere as Google is adept at recognizing duplicate articles etc... In fact if you were to copy someone else’s work word-for-word chances are you would be in a lot of trouble for copyright infringement, Google would penalize your page ranking and the author that originally wrote the article would get an added bonus by jumping up in their Google ranking..
2.) Article Length
Google and other search engines place more value on longer articles. It is important to elaborate on a subject if you want authority. Generally if your article is longer then your competitors in the same arena, you will become the authority figure for that particular subject. Remember there are algorithms at work here behind the scenes that are unknown to the general population, if we knew the exact formula we would most likely be millionaires right? Regardless you will want to make your posts/articles around 400-500 words each if you are counting on them to increase your page rank.
3.) Keywords
This is extremely important when it comes to SEO and increasing your Page Rank. If you remember me discussing this previously, it is our goal to rank as high as possible using keywords that apply to your particular niche, generally it’s a good idea to use your target keywords several times in an article but don’t go overboard or else Google may decide to mark the particular article as spam. Generally if you use your keyword three to four times in any given article you will be on the right track to gaining momentum in this arena.
4.) Volume
Keep in mind that after your page gets indexed, Google and other search engines have bots that crawl through your content regularly looking for updates and new posts…. The more content you can provide your readers with, the better your chance of getting listed as a site of importance; also, it is inevitable that your keywords will be used in higher volume which is a consideration in page rank as well. If you only have a few articles/posts, chances are you will not be considered as noteworthy as a blog with a huge quantity of valuable articles similar to your own.
5.) Backlinks
If you’ve made it this far, its obvious that you are dedicated to this subject for one reason or another, what is unclear to me is how you arrived here in the first place but its very possible that you reached this page through a backlink that I have placed on a different website.
What is a Backlink?
A backlink is a link that connects a forum, directory, website or blog back to your page. Generally in regard to page rank this is the bread and butter. Without a high quantity of quality backlinks you’re essentially dead in the water. They are very time consuming to create but it should be your goal to spend half your time writing and the other half reading and commenting on other blogs/sites if you want people to take time out of their day to review your content.
Don’t forget that the links you create should be relevant to what you write about. If your subject is the Amazonian Rainforest, it won’t do you any good to post a ton of backlinks on blogs and forums about skydiving. Get my drift?
6.) Age of Content
This is one of the least important factors in regard to page rank but none the less it does have merit. Think about it, if your blog or site is brand new, how much credibility should it get at first glance? Should it be considered as a credible source right out of the gates? How much credibility would you give a baby when it came to important matters? Just focus on the first five topics primarily because this is a variable you don’t have much control over… The older your blog or site gets the more credibility it will receive as long as your content stays fresh!
Well, that’s a lot of information to take in all at once… Take some time to reflect on the following six topics and try your best to apply them to your blog.
Also, you may want to try getting backlinks with the content you’ve already created. There are several sites in which you can post your articles in addition to your blog, you will receive credit and obtain one-way backlinks for your effort! One way backlinks are the most valuable and coveted in regard to page rank. I will discuss how to do this in the following post:

Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online With Blogs – Step 3
Now that you have set up your blog and if so desired created a widget for your Adsense, banner, it is time to go ahead and write your first post…
Generally it is best to start off with an introduction of your site… Feel free to use this blog’s introduction as an example…
Make sure your title has your keywords in it as well as the description:
Welcome to Blog Basics for Beginners
Welcome to Blog Basics for Beginners. This site is dedicated to providing you with tips and tricks for beginning bloggers to help you make money online. If you have questions about any of the content on Blog Basics don't hesitate to send us an email with your question to info@yourblogismoney.com.
Notice how I used my keywords in my description, i.e. Make Money Online, Tips and Tricks for Beginning Bloggers etc...
This will become extremely important when Google attempts to index your page.
The goal is to get indexed by Google in a way that makes you easily searchable by your target demographic… Generally it can take weeks for Google to index your page, if you follow these instructions; chances are good that you will be indexed within the next few days.
Now you are probably thinking, “How do I know if my page has been indexed by Google?”
That is a great question! All you need to do to find out is go to Google’s website and search for your web address i.e. http://blog-basics-for-beginners.blogspot.com
If the next thing you see after searching for your blog is a page that says “This website could not be found.”
The answer is simply that Google has not yet indexed your page. In regard to search engines there are really only three that matter… You will want to make sure that your site is indexed with the following three companies:
Google / Yahoo / MSN
Always remember the following three things:
1.) The goal is to get traffic from Google / MSN / Yahoo Search.
2.) To get traffic from these companies your site will need to be found with popular keywords like “make money online,” “celebrity news,” etc..
3.) To get your keywords indexed you will need to create original content embedded with keywords that represent what your blog is about.
In the next part of this series I will explain how Google determines if your site is relevant, the object being to get on the TOP 2 Pages of search…
If you have any questions about any of this material thus far, please go ahead and post a comment, I will try my best to address them as quickly as possible… There is more than enough advertising money to go around, so why not help each other get it right?
When you are ready please follow me to the next step in my series entitled “Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online with Blogs – Step 4”.

Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online With Blogs – Step 2
src=""http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"">
So you’re ready to create a blog… The first thing you might want to consider is what your blog’s topic should be. I would recommend that you spend some serious time thinking about this; generally you will be the most successful in your efforts if you pick a subject that you are seriously interested in. Because really, why not going ahead and learn something on your journey to financial independence?
After you have decided on your topic, the next step will be determining where you would like to host your blog… Many people decide to set up a website as a permanent home for their blog. If this is your first or even second blog, I would recommend setting up a free blog at one of the following sites :
Or
WWW.WORDPRESS.COM
Both sites have great features and benefits and either site is an excellent choice for setting up your blog. For the sake of this article, let’s go ahead and set up a new blog at Blogger. After you go to the website, you will see an option to -> create an account
Go ahead and pick a name, I picked “Blog Basics for Beginners” as I wanted to create a blog to assist other bloggers in setting up and monetizing a niche site. See if the name you want is available. If not, you may have to play around with your name like I did… Because the URL “blogbasicsforbeginners.blogspot.com” was already taken, I decided to add dashes in-between all the words so effectively the same keywords were used just with a slight variation (this will make sense later in my series).
Try your best to use keywords you’d like to be found with in your blog’s title and web address.
After the first step you will be asked to select a template, I used Minima for example because it is set up to work perfectly with Google’s search engine. This will be important when it comes to SEO – Search Engine Optimization…
Click the publish option to change objects on your blog… If you click edit in the top right corner it will offer you additional features you can add to the sidebar of your blog, I would recommend selecting the Adsense option. It will go ahead and ask you for your Adsense publisher ID number. If you haven’t already signed up for Adsense, I would recommend doing so by going to the following URL: http://www.google.com/adsense
At this point your blog is ready to go complete with your first advertising channel. Follow me to the next step in my series entitled “Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online with Blogs – Step 3” for information setting up your first post.

Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online With Blogs – Step 1
Almost everyone has asked themselves this question at some point in their life, “how do I make money online?”
There are literally a million ways to make money online but this site is dedicated to just one topic. It is all centered on the following theme, how to make money online by blogging about something you like.
If you’re like me, you’ve been to a million websites and blogs with promises to make you rich if you just buy their “wonder” product or sign up to their email list for their “special report.”
I’m not going to lie; making money online with your blog is hard work… It takes time, dedication and lot of planning and footwork. The rewards far outweigh the costs because once your blog is up and running, you are towards the top of Google’s search with your particular keyword niche and you have a very substantial subscriber base, the passive income you will make from your ventures will be more than enough to support yourself and offer you more time in life to do what you want to do, no longer at the mercy of an employer.
There are millions of online advertisers out there and only a tenth as many online marketers, the odds are on your side, so if you want to start blogging about something you like and start cashing in on the lucrative opportunity to be rewarded for your efforts, follow me….
The first topic of conversation is something called “Google Adsense.”
This is by far the easiest service to become affiliated with if you want to place ads on your blog. Each time someone clicks on one of the ads you will receive a contribution depending on how much value is placed on the particular ad. After utilizing this service you may also want to diversify your advertising with Affiliate partners.
Adsense can become very profitable once your site has a high quantity of web traffic flowing through. Google offers another program called Adwords, a program in which you pay them to place links to your own site. Some people make money using Adwords to get traffic and then having that traffic flow thru their Adsense links generating them revenue.
I have found that the best traffic is the traffic you obtain for free through multiple links, high search ranking etc...
Chances are you will not make a lot of money through Adsense when you first set up your blog. It takes time and effort to build web traffic but it is manageable. When you hear stories of people making tons of money via Adsense and you know they haven’t been running their site for long, what they are probably doing is running multiple blogs and websites with multiple niches, each generating a small amount of revenue... Of coarse they wouldn’t want to tell you that because they’d like to stay ahead of the game and keep their competitors in the dark…
So, it may be time to make a choice… Do you want to make money blogging? Would you rather have one blog and spend years of hard work and dedication to make that money? Or would you rather create many blogs and spend substantially less time and effort to reach the same result?
That’s what I thought… Please check out the following article when you’re ready to get started: Blog Basics for Beginners: How to Make Money Online with Blogs – Step 2
